King Edward VII Broadwood Concert Grand Piano Circa 1879
Broadwood Piano Serial number 21,358. The piano was made at their Horseferry Road workshop, Westminster, London on June 19th, 1879. It is a model number 14 grand pianoforte in a rosewood case. Keyboard compass- a to a, retail price of 250 guineas 262 British pounds and 10 shillings. The model 14 is a full-sized concert grand and was their largest and best Grand manufacturer in 1879.
On February 10th, 1880 the piano was delivered to His Royal Highness Edward The Prince of Wales 1841-1910, to his London address, Marlborough House in the Mall, London SW. In 1901 when Edward Prince of Wales became King, the piano was moved to his new residence, Buckingham Palace. May 6, 1904
